Accessing Professional Development Credit

Teachers may wish to pursue professional development credit for successful completion of modules within KyEducators.org. Credit is awarded through local schools.

Typically, teachers contact the chair of their school's professional development committee BEFORE beginning the activity. The chair presents the request for professional development to the school based decision-making (SBDM) council. Upon approval from the SBDM council, the PD committee chair notifies the teacher.

Teachers then complete the module(s) and present certificates of successful completion of the instructional module (available at the conclusion of the module) to their PD chair who logs the credit. The possible number of professional development hours is listed with each module.
